Intro to Thai Massage • $80, 4 CEUs
January 4th, 9am – 1pm

It is not necessary for those interested in taking the Thai Massage Series to take the Introduction to Thai Massage workshop, although it is recommended. Thai massage is a fluid and dynamic form of therapy that is over 2,500 years old. It can enhance any massage and bodywork practice, improving flexibility for both clients and practitioners. This course is designed to introduce participants to foundational Thai massage theory and techniques.

Prerequisites: Professional or student bodyworker
What to bring/wear: Due to the nature of the stretches used, loose-fitting pants (elastic waist or drawstring) and a loose-fitting top are required – DO NOT WEAR JEANS OR PANTS WITH A ZIPPER, SHORTS OR SKIRTS; bring a futon or thick mat, flat sheet, 1 large pillow, 2 small pillows


Sandra Anderson, BA, LMT, ABT, NCTMB,
has been licensed in massage therapy since 1991, certified in shiatsu since 1999, and certified in Thai massage since 2002. She taught at the Desert Institute of the Healing Arts for 12 years, and has been designing and teaching continuing education workshops since 2004. Sandra and her husband own Tucson Touch Therapies where she maintains a private practice.

Thai Massage Level I • $450, 24 CEUs
January 16th, 17th & 18th, 8am – 5pm

Thai Massage Level I includes the history of Thai massage and introduces participants to the traditional Asian medical theory that Thai massage is based on. Foundational techniques are taught, including proper body mechanics for working on a futon on the floor. Traditional Thai massage focuses a great deal on the legs, and participants will learn Thai massage techniques for the anterior and posterior legs, and the back.

Thai Massage Level II • $450, 24 CEUs
May 1st, 2nd & 3rd, 8am – 5pm

Thai Massage Level II builds on the information and techniques presented in Thai Massage Level I. The Asian medical theory and location of energy channels (Sen lines) of the extremities are taught. Participants will learn to locate and properly address these Sen lines. Supine treatment protocols for the chest, arms, head, neck and face are emphasized.

Thai Massage Level III • $450, 24 CEUs
June 12th, 13th & 14th, 8am – 5pm

Thai Massage Level III includes more advanced techniques designed to enhance Thai massage treatments. Protocols for side position and sitting position are taught, along with with sophisticated supine methods.
Participants will be shown how to interweave these techniques with those they have already learned to ensure smooth treatments.

Thai Massage Level IV • $450, 24 CEUs
August 7th, 8th & 9th, 8am – 5pm

Thai Massage Level IV ties information from Levels I-II together into a focused, complete traditional 2-hour Thai massage treatment. Sitting position techniques are presented, along with suggestions for participants to design their own 1-hour and 1 ½ hour treatments, giving them more versatility as Thai massage practitioners.
